Cera often describes her daily life since cancer diagnosis as playing “Medical Jumanji”. You never know what random, rampant symptom you may, or may not wake up with, if you’re lucky enough to sleep that is. ALL cancer treatments consist of trading one set of antagonizing symptoms for another in hopes you may get relief from the first, but it is never guaranteed sometimes you are just tacking on a second set.
Nothing about cancer is easy or fun, good days are the exception not the rule and tomorrow can always be worse, which is why Cera is so dedicated to living the most vivacious life possible on her boat, as comfortably as possible, for as long as possible. Your help in making this happen quite literally changes Ceras’ world and life.
Ceras’ Medical Regime
Being diagnosed as stage 4 left Cera with no good options forward. She chose not to do chemo, radiation or surgery at first and instead tried natural treatments that have successfully helped patients who’ve completed conventional treatment with no results. Cera chose to return to her sailboat in Florida where, since her cancer diagnosis she can no longer get even basic emergency travel insurance with a terminal pre-existing condition. So from November to April Cera had no access to health care and relied solely on her natural protocols.
She contributes these remedies for the shockingly slow metastasis, which surprised oncologists upon her return in April. Through increased stress and symptoms Ceras main tumor exploded in April breaching skin and leaving her in extreme discomfort and mental anguish. We attempted conventional treatment of immunotherapy and a HEAVY, HARD dose of radiation to the main tumor site. The radiation effectively gave relief to the tumor growth while adding a new wound to care for. Now Cera should be continuing immunotherapy every 3 weeks but until she obtains proper travel options or moves her home to Canada she will not be able to continue. At this point Ceras, brain, bones and organs have stayed clear, a benign tumor was found in the liver and we hope it stays that way. The breast and lymph tumors are still causing issues and continue to be a concern for mobility and comfort.
In addition to switching to RO water and an organic, alkaline diet Cera has a large list of supplements she takes to help ease the symptoms and slow the metastasis. If you would like to help by direct purchasing any medications the doses are listed below and they can be shipped to Cera either in Canada or the US, both addresses available on our contact page.
